Letters

This is the place to bring up a topic that’s on your mind.

Use the “Reply” function on this page as if it were an email to Common Waters. That way, everyone can see what you’re thinking about, and they can see a reply. Just like “Letters to the Editor,” but faster and more interactive.

If it’s of interest to a lot of folks, we can expand it into a blog topic.

Letters are especially welcome, but we shall exercise the same editorial prerogative that would be expected from any family-oriented media.

“The Common Waters blog will feature posts on timely topics by CWO board members and invited guests.”

How do yah get to be an invited guest?

There’s been a cuple of federal rulings recently that could seriously impact our side of the argument.

Oh… and I finally found were DSL hid the links to all the court cases that use to be on their web site. Were talking gold here… pure gold.

But wait, there’s more. I think I should probably start filling in the blanks regarding the history of navigability in Oregon. The DSL web site really skims over a lot of it. I got hard copy dating back to 1856.

I ain’t got a lot of time but I could bang away on the keyboard every once in a while.

If you do invite me to be a guest, could anyone show, teach or explain to me how this blog thingy works? ’specially links…. I got links to dozens of federal and several state cases. If CWO wants to be a resource… you gotta have links… and I ain’t talking Jimmy Dean if you know what I mean.

Let me know if you’re interested.

Thanks

Scruffy

Howdy, Scruffy! Good to see ya. Thanks for the comment, and I’m looking forward to your guest appearances. :) — Hugh

Just a note: Heather should be commended for a very fine presentation at the FFF Expo on Saturday. Especially given the lack of technical support and hasty setting. I was disappointed more folks didnt show up for the show Heather!
Thanks for all your Great Efforts on behalf of us yokels!

Has anyone approached the two candidates for Attorney General to find out their positions on River Rights? Would be more than happy to help out, but thought I should check and see if we have any background yet.

Thanks! Jason

Jason, please do that research. I’ll put your findings up as a regular post on the blog. Thanks! –Hugh
